The Engel & Völkers Group is a leading real estate company with a worldwide presence. The company specialises in services related to property transactions and enjoys key competence in consultancy, rentals, sales and valuations for private and corporate clients. Laurich & Kollegen was responsible for establishing internal and external communication for Engel & Völkers’ Commercial Property Division. 

The Hamburg Port and Logistic Authority (HHLA) is the leading player in Germany’s seaport sector. For the past 120 years, HHLA has leased and managed the Hamburg Speicherstadt, the world’s largest warehouse complex. Laurich & Kollegen has developed a communication concept for the Speicherstadt, the most significant area of HHLA Real Estate’s portfolio, which it is now putting into practice.

The ACO Group is active through its 70 subsidiaries in civil engineering and building services engineering, with 3 250 staff working for the group in 28 countries worldwide. We developed a business communications concept for ACO which is currently being put into practice.

VTG has been operating in the rail and tanker container logistics sector for many years and is the largest private-sector partner for the freight industry and European railways. Laurich & Kollegen provided media consultancy services for VTG AG, especially during its take-over by a private equity group.

In 2003, the Hamburg-based HGV Gesellschaft für Vermögens- und Beteiligungsverwaltung mbH purchased 10 per cent of Beiersdorf shares (BDF) from the Allianz AG. Laurich & Kollegen advised the HGV on all aspects of international media relations.

Laurich & Kollegen worked together with an advertising and PR agency to create a new overarching brand concept for this Bremen-based energy and utility company.

This medium-sized enterprise in the automotive spares distribution sector required a completely new brand and communications strategy after dropping several business segments and pushing ahead with internationalisation. This was developed jointly with the advertising agency moskito.

 

Tourism and regional marketing

Laurich & Kollegen has devised a brand repositioning concept for the specialist airline consultancy PROLOGIS AG and is currently implementing a range of measures in the areas of CD revision, press work and networking.

TUIfly originated in the merger of Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX) and Hapagfly in the summer of 2007. The airline is part of TUI Travel PLC, London, in which the world’s largest tourism company, TUI AG, is the major shareholder. Laurich & Kollegen provides primarily strategic advice to the airline on a project basis.

Laurich & Kollegen plays a coordinating and brand defining role with media work for the food and beverages sector of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Germany and its house caterer, Catering’s Best. The team supports the PR staff of the individual hotels by providing advice and coordination of PR work.

The InterContinental is one of the best known five-star hotels in Hamburg. Laurich & Kollegen is helping the hotel relaunch the established worldwide brand in Hamburg and supporting it with strategic media work.

Öger Tours is a pioneer in holiday travel to Turkey and the leading Turkish specialist in Europe. The brand stands for quality at a fair price and know-how when it comes to holiday destinations, particularly in Turkey. For the 3rd International Öger Antalya Marathon “Runtalya 2008”, Laurich & Kollegen advised the tour operator on the marketing of the running event and supported the company in its search for suitable sponsors.

The municipality of Barleben is an up-and-coming district just outside Magdebug, the capital of Saxony Anhalt. A concept for economic development and regional marketing has been established for the region and is currently being put into effect.

The international television group voyages, with German headquarters in Hannover, specialised in the presentation of holidays for all the family. Laurich & Kollegen devised a number of campaigns to establish the channel in Germany and increase its recognition level and acceptance by customers.

Technology and healthcare

Laurich & Kollegen is establishing and implementing a new brand and communications strategy for BGW, the employers’ liability insurance association serving the health and welfare professions.

Siemens is one of the world’s leading electrical engineering and electronics companies. Laurich & Kollegen designed a corporate communications concept for the company’s northern division (Siemens Hanse), which is now being implemented.

Basics GmbH, a wholly owned German subsidiary of India’s largest pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy, is a modern supplier of high quality but affordable generics. Laurich & Kollegen is advising Basics on corporate communications and brand creation.

The Hamburg Center for Applied Nanotechnology (CAN) is a public-private partnership offering contract research and development services in the nanotechnology sector, both nationally and internationally. Laurich & Kollegen looks after internal and external communication for CAN.


Fischtechnik International Engineering GmbH is a medium-sized enterprise based in Lower Saxony specialising in the design, supply and installation of intensive and environmentally friendly fish production systems. Laurich & Kollegen supports Fischtechnik with advice and coordination in all aspects of PR work and acts as an external press office, handling enquiries from German, English and Russian speaking media.

Sport and sponsorship

In cooperation with the marketing division of this football club, Laurich & Kollegen is setting up a concept for improving contacts with business in order to expand sponsoring and partnership activities.

Dresdner Kleinwort has developed a comprehensive concept for combating doping in top-level sport. The major sponsor of the Dresdner Kleinwort Triathlon Team, Dresdner Kleinwort has been championing doping-free sport consistently since 2007. Laurich & Kollegen was responsible for introducing the team, headed by Normann Stadler, winner of two Ironman world championships.

Marketing of the German U14 Girls’ Indoor Hockey Championships for the German Hockey Federation and the hosts, VfL Pinneberg. Laurich & Kollegen worked with all participants to devise a marketing concept which was implemented as a joint venture with the Hamburg Media Academy. A central website and video footage were created for the event and marketed to partners in a targeted fashion.
